Cornerstone tools to success
The Cornerstone Tools To Success program's mission is to provide at-risk-youth, teens, young men and women ages 15 to 26 with the tools and training needed to succeed in life and the construction field.
Mr. Glenroy "Kinglen" Hodge, or “Coach Hodge” (as he’s known to many youth athletes), has over 40 years of residential and commercial construction experience. He specializes in estimating, building, and trouble-shooting difficult jobs. During his years of experience he has devoted countless hours to training others who have a desire to learn. He has served as an instructor in the following capacities:
Maryland Corrections, Baltimore, MD
Instructor: Construction math, blueprint reading and estimating
Westside Skill Center, Baltimore, MD
Instructor: Blueprint reading, construction management & carpentry
CETA Skill Center, St. Thomas, U.S.V.I.
Instructor: Construction math, blueprint reading and estimating
Through the Cornerstone Tools To Success program youth and young adults, ages 16 to 25, will have an opportunity to Earn, while they Learn.
Participants will have an opportunity to earn their high school diploma or GED, develop leadership skills, life skills, gain computer knowledge, financial literacy, serve their community, and earn a stipend for work in the classroom and on the construction site.
Program participants will be assisted with career and continued education counseling, childcare, employment referrals, and may earn a scholarship to pursue advanced training in the construction trades.
