Why Volunteer...
Did you know that your volunteering can be counted as WORK EXPERIENCE or your resume? Volunteering in your community, demonstrates that you not only value your community, but you are familiar with key things a boss wants in their employee: Time management, good work ethics, commitment, and self-motivation.
We understand that earning money to purchase the latest fashions, electronic devices or music may be a top priority for you and many other teens right now, volunteering can be one of the most rewarding and real-life educational opportunities you can experience.
If you are a middle or high school student, planning to continue your education at a college or university we encourage to get involved in volunteering, as soon as possible.
A lot of colleges and universities are beginning to use your volunteer experience to help them to decide if they what to accept you into their school. Many scholarships also use this information to decide if they will give you the award. Schools and scholarships are becoming more competitive, so it's important to do things that will make them seriously look at you what you have to offer and what will give you an edge over others.
