If you are interested in marching with us in the parade please wear RED, WHITE, & BLUE (our organization’s colors) along with any afrocentric accessories you desire.
We encourage you to make signs/posters in honor of Black History Month (consider having a "Poster Making/Pizza Party" to get your entire family. Remember to wear comfortable shoes, clothing appropriate for the weather, pack a lunch and/or snack and water.

The 2014 Begins on the corner of Auburn Avenue and Peachtree Center Avenue SE continues east on Auburn Avenue to Jackson Street and Auburn Avenue NE. It may be necessary for the 2014 Black History Month Parade to implement a detour route due to construction on Auburn Avenue of the new Street Car. Participants will be notified on site which detour route may be taken.

Starts on the corner of Auburn Avenue and Peachtree Center Avenue Continues East on Auburn Avenue to Jesse Hill Jr. Drive turns Left to JW Dobbs continues East on JW Dobbs to Fort Street turns right to Auburn Avenue Turn Left to continue to end of route
Construction Detour Route #2 (participants will be notified if necessary)

Participants walking in the 2014 Black History Month Parade will complete the parade route on the corner of WH Borders and Auburn Avenue.
The corner of WH Borders & Auburn Avenue is where the post parade ceremony and corporate/ vending and staging area will take place.
Please note: Vehicles in the parade will also begin parade exit at the corner of Auburn Avenue NE and WH Borders Avenue. WH Borders Avenue is located just east of Hilliard Street NE. Vehicles will be instructed to stage right in parking areas that will be along the side of the street in the end of route area.
